The Best Anniversary Present Ever

My Dearest Ava,

Your original due date was April 6, 2006 and at 5:17am on March 14, 2006 (1 week after Mommy and Daddy's 2nd Anniversary) my water broke while I was sleeping. I woke your Daddy up and said "Allan I think that my water broke!" He quickly replies "Well get out of the bed then." Leave it to your dad to always add some humor to the situation. So I called the doctor and they told me that I needed to come into the hospital but I knew that I had some time before I needed to go. That day we had some renters planning on coming to look at our house that we were trying to lease out before making our move into our new home. So I was trying to vacuum and get the house ready to "show" before leaving for the hospital. Your daddy and I left the house at around 7am and headed towards the hospital and I was admitted and put on Pitocyn to induce labor. After 11 hours of being in labor, Dr. Butler decided that it was time to head to the operating room for an emergency C-section because I was not dilating a bit and the Pitocyn was affecting your heartbeats and causing strain to you. Then at 4:56pm on March 14, 2006 you were born weighing 6lbs 2oz and 19.5 inches long. With the help of Khun Tha and Khun Yai (Mommy's parents), we gave you a Thai first name, Piyamard (means Lovely Lady). Your middle name, Ava, is a name in which your daddy and I loved. There we were, now a family of 3. The happiest couple in the world.
